NBC MathCounts hosted their annual invite on Wednesday, February 5, with DC West and Fremont Middle School. Team 1 placed first in the invite against 9 other teams. Individual placings were Stuart W 2nd place, Hadley K 4th place, Bryce C 5th place, and Jaxon T 9th place. Hadley also won the countdown round!

Culinary students planned, prepared and packaged lunch for the North Bend Chamber of Commerce meeting that took place at the high school. On the menu: homemade chicken salad croissants, strawberry poppyseed salad, and monster cookies. 🧑🏼🍳

On Saturday, three students from the NBC band performed with the “Patriots of the Plains” Honor Band . The students got the chance to perform alongside students from all around the state and members of the 43rd Army Band of the Nebraska National Guard. Mr. Ryan Baldwin, band director at NBC, is a member of the 43rd and was able to perform alongside his students as well.

The NBC Spirit Squads had a great day on Saturday at the Ralston Competition.
The NBC Dance Team competed in C1 Jazz and C1 High Kick and placed 2nd in both Jazz and Kick. The NBC Cheer Team competed in C1 Non-Building/Non-Tumbling and C1 Game Day. They now hold the highest score for the Game Day division at NBC.

The East Husker Conference basketball tournament brackets are out! The girls team kick things off at home this Friday (1/31) at 7:30 pm vs. Tekamah-Herman. The boys team will head to Bancroft on Saturday (2/1) for a game at 6 pm vs. Wisner-Pilger.
