Today, North Bend Central Public Schools celebrated military veterans at both buildings with music from the HS band & choir, elementary choir, and 1st & 3rd graders. Veterans were also treated to a special lunch at NBC. Thank you for your service!

Mrs. Wess’ 6th Grade Teen Issues class is learning about goal setting and how to make goals SMART — Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Timely.
Today’s lesson put those skills into action with some “Minute to Win It” challenges! Students competed in Smartie Stacking, Face the Cookie, and a Sticky Note Race — all while practicing how to set clear, realistic goals and track their progress.

Hands-on learning, teamwork, and a little trial and error — just another day in the NBC shop in 1986!

From November 17–25, the NBC National Honor Society is leading a Tower of Tissue drive in alignment with National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week — an annual program where people across the country come together to draw attention to the problems of hunger and homelessness.
All collected items at NBC or NBE will be donated to the Care Corps’ Life House in Fremont.

NBC Elementary would like to invite you to our Veterans Day Program put on by our 1st and 3rd grade classes. Doors open at 2 PM, and the public performance is at 2:30 PM. Please email Miss Roberts with any questions regarding the program.

Sixth grade science in action! Mrs. Sterup’s class experimented with potential and kinetic energy using a moveable fulcrum. Energy never looked so fun! ⚡
The NBC 6th & 7th graders had a great day in Lincoln! 🎉 They attended the UNL Sportsmanship Pep Rally, enjoyed some pizza, and cheered on the Women’s Husker Basketball team! 🏀 The rally shared an awesome message about dreaming big, being awesome, and always working hard. Simon Sez brought the fun — and the kids had a blast!
Mrs. Sterup’s 7th grade science students put their skills to the test last week! 🧪 They explored chromatography — a method used to separate components of a mixture. This real-world technique is used in solving crimes, developing medicines, testing foods, and even in sports for checking substances. Science in action at NBC! 🔬
