Today our seniors took big steps toward their futures during Apply2College Day! Mrs. Wess, our NBC Guidance Counselor, organized a special event to help students complete their college applications and learn more about the process. The day also included a fun Bingo game where students discovered interesting facts about staff college experiences and learn more about the application process!

A group of NBC seniors traveled to the University of Nebraska–Kearney yesterday to explore college life! They toured the campus and met with university representatives to learn what makes UNK a great place to continue their education.

Photography students took the class period today to evaluate portraiture composition techniques by analyzing the Senior Banners hanging in Tiger Arena, sponsored by the NBC Booster Club. Students used the language of photography in their critiques, choosing good examples of lighting, posing, color theory, background/foreground, texture, and cropping. Their vocabulary work, discussion, and written analysis meets 10/15 Nebraska Fine Arts standards in one lesson!

Three Rivers Public Heath Department is hosting their 2nd Annual Fall Family Health Fair on Thursday, October 9, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at our Fremont office (2400 N. Lincoln Ave., Fremont, NE).
This free, family-centered event will feature:
-Flu shots and childhood immunizations
-Free lead testing for children under six
-Diabetes screenings and health education
-Free car seat checks, food trucks, and family activities

With all the rain, Yutan's softball field is unplayable. They have secured a turf field at the Sandhills Global Youth Complex in Lincoln. The address is 2100 N 1st Street, Lincoln, NE 68508. We are playing on Field 3, located on the west side of the complex. Enter through Gate #1. A reminder that no passes are accepted for NSAA events. The cost is $6 for adults and $5 for students; cash only. The complex will offer concessions; however, they are cashless.
