Students had the opportunity to dive into interactive exhibits, experiment with real-world science concepts, and let their curiosity lead the way through engaging, minds-on learning experiences. From exploring physics and engineering to discovering how science connects to everyday life, it was a day full of excitement and discovery.
This incredible trip was made possible thanks to an NBC Foundation Grant, helping bring learning to life beyond the classroom!

The NBC 4th graders had a full day of exploration and learning!
We started our day at the Saunders County Museum in Wahoo, where students completed a scavenger hunt and explored an old schoolhouse (District 42), a shed full of historic machinery, and a depot.
Then we headed to Lincoln for a tour of the Nebraska State Capitol, learning more about the history of our state and its iconic building. 🏛️ We wrapped up the day by enjoying lunch on the Capitol lawn, provided by the Ag Sack Lunch Program.
What a memorable day of hands-on history!

Mrs. Sterup’s middle school science classes are getting creative with science! 🖍️🔬
Students are investigating the rock cycle in a hands-on (and colorful) way—using crayons to model how rocks change over time. From melting to reshaping, they’re bringing geology to life one crayon at a time!

🏃♂️🙌 They set the pace with great energy, big smiles, and plenty of school spirit—definitely a fast start to the day!

📚 Planning for the future at North Bend Central!
A proposed elementary expansion aims to support growing enrollment, add classrooms, and create dedicated spaces for student services—all while enhancing safety with a new tornado shelter.
This project is still in the proposal stage—read more details in the full article online! https://www.nbtigers.org/article/2837345

Taking it back to 2002 with this snapshot of the NBC Girls Golf team—a program that holds a special place in our history.
Seniors Melissa Dunker and Heidi Hamilton led the way, joined by teammates Sarah Chromy, Tami Reznicek, and Annie Kruger. The team was coached by Randy McIntyre.
A great group & great memories!
