NBC Student Council Fun Run

The NBC FFA and Student Council, alongside our Girls Basketball Team, National Honor Society, Speech Team, MathCounts, Golf Team, Cross Country Team, Volleyball Team, and NB Wrestling Club, came together with one goal in mind—giving back to the North Bend community.

Together, these amazing groups pooled nearly $1,000 to purchase much-needed supplies for the Blessings Food Pantry. Students worked together to shop for items to help provide Easter meals for local families, then delivered everything with pride.

We are incredibly proud of our students for their generosity, teamwork, and commitment to making a difference. This is what Tiger Nation is all about—community, compassion, and stepping up when it matters most. 🧡🖤

North Bend Central is proud to celebrate Ag Teacher DJ Mottl for being named the Lower Elkhorn NRD Educator of the Year!

With 27 years of teaching experience, DJ has made a lasting impact through his dedication to agricultural education and land judging. From his own start as a high school competitor to leading one of the largest land judging contests in Nebraska, he has helped hundreds of students learn valuable skills in soils and natural resources.

For the past 17 years, DJ has served as the Northeast Area Land Judging Committee Representative, organizing competitions for 600–700 students annually across 14 counties. His leadership, attention to detail, and commitment to students and fellow educators have made these events consistently successful.

In 2025, DJ’s forward-thinking planning helped ensure a smooth transition during unexpected challenges, supporting two successful competitions for 30 schools.

Thank you, DJ, for your dedication, leadership, and passion for agriculture education. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor! 🌾
