1. Tap Band Schedule: Tuesday: Independent study trumpet; Wednesday: Independent study low brass/low woodwinds; Thursday: Independent study percussion; Friday: None

2. HOSA officer applications due to Mrs. Treat today.

  1. Outside date forms are available in the office if you plan on bringing an outside date to Homecoming. Please return the form to the office by Tuesday, September 18th. Cost to get in to the dance is $5.00 per person.

  2. Taking the ACT this fall? What help preparing for it? If so, sign up with Mrs. Ray for the John Baylor Test Prep sessions. You must signup by September 26th to participate, the cost is only $40 and the first session is Oct. 8th. See Mrs. Ray with any questions.

  3. One Act Auditions for “The Infamous Soothing System of Professor Maillard” adopted by Raleigh Marcell Jr. will be held on Wednesday, September 19th, at 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM, and Thursday, September 20th, at 7:30 AM in Mrs. Hanson’s Room. Applications can be picked up outside of Mr. Wright’s room.

  4. Homecoming Week: Wednesday: What NOT to Wear Wednesday. (Wear anything SCHOOL APPROPRIATE that’s TOTALLY TACKY. Think socks with sandals, big ol’ visors... anything Coach Streff wears on the regular... get TACKY, Tigers!) Thursday: Thrift Store Thursday. (This one’s a CHALLENGE: grab some friends and head to any thrift shop/consignment store and stock up on all the best gear; POP THOSE TAGS, but REMEMBER your RECEIPT, because we’ll see who looks the most fly on a shoestring budget! Prizes for the top three ensembles with accompanying thrift store receipts!) Friday: Traditional NBC Spirit wear: Anything Black/Orange/NBC-related. Homecoming in Hollywood promises to be a FUN week, but only if YOU participate! Plan ahead and LET’S GO TIGERS!

  5. . SkillsUSA - We will have an ALL MEMBER meeting on Thursday in Mr. Wright’s room at 7:30 a.m. See you there!

  6. Juniors have the concession stand for Homecoming football game. If you didn’t sell enough plants last spring to meet your quota, you can work the concession stand and still have a free Prom. Cheerleaders can help set up and during half-time, Dance team can help setup and second half. and Band members can help after half-time. Football players can have their parents help during half- time rush. Help from everyone is needed. Sign up sheets are on Mrs. Gross-Rhode’s office door and in Ms. Morgan’s room.

  7. Students interested in a career in the Automotive industry (auto body, mechanics, etc.): there is a FREE Career Expo where you can tour Southeast Community College’s automotive technology classrooms and learn about the variety of career opportunities in the automotive industry. This is Tuesday, October 19 from 7-9pm at SCC in Lincoln. All juniors and seniors interested should see Mrs. Wright for information on RSVPing ASAP!
