Tomorrow’s Activities: Softball at Plattsmouth Invite 9:00 am
FFA Freshman VB tournament 8:00 am at NBC
1. Tap Band Schedule: Friday: None
2. Seniors - Please get your class dues of $20 to Zander Gibney by today.
3. There is a retainer in the office.
4. HOSA members - get your application forms and $14 dues to Mrs. Treat by today.
5. One Act Auditions for “The Infamous Soothing System of Professor Maillard” adopted by Raleigh Marcell Jr. will
be held on Tuesday, September 18th, at 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM, Wednesday, September 19th, at 7:30 AM and 4:00
PM, and Thursday, September 20th, at 7:30 AM in Mrs. Hanson’s Room. Applications can be picked up outside of
Mr. Wright’s room.
6. Homecoming Week is NEXT Week, and it promises to bring out ALL the NBC Stars! It’s “2018: Homecoming in
Hollywood”! Get prepped to celebrate with our Spirit Days to accompany our star-studded theme: Monday:
Malibu Monday (wear any SCHOOL-APPROPRIATE Beach wear and shine like Ken and Barbie, Kim and Kanye,
Beyonce & Jay-Z and get ready to rock the NBC beach!) Tuesday: Trendy Tuesday (wear any of the latest trends,
hot designers (even if you fake it), and rock the run way!) Wednesday: What NOT to Wear Wednesday. (Wear
anything SCHOOL APPROPRIATE that’s TOTALLY TACKY. Think socks with sandals, big ol’ visors... anything Coach
Streff wears on the regular... get TACKY, Tigers!) Thursday: Thrift Store Thursday. (This one’s a CHALLENGE: grab
some friends and head to any thrift shop/consignment store and stock up on all the best gear; POP THOSE TAGS,
but REMEMBER your RECEIPT, because we’ll see who looks the most fly on a shoestring budget! Prizes for the top
three ensembles with accompanying thrift store receipts!) Friday: Traditional NBC Spirit wear: Anything
Black/Orange/NBC-related. Homecoming in Hollywood promises to be a FUN week, but only if YOU participate!
Plan ahead and LET’S GO TIGERS!
7. Did you lose your glasses - if so, come to the office because we have a pair!
8. Juniors have the concession stand for Homecoming football game. If you didn’t sell enough plants last spring to
meet your quota, you can work the concession stand and still have a free Prom. Cheerleaders can help set up and
during half-time, Dance team can help setup and second half. and Band members can help after half-time. Football
players can have their parents help during halftime
rush. Help from everyone is needed. Signup sheets are on Mrs. Gross-Rhode’s office door and in Ms.
Morgan’s room.
9. Reminder to FFA Members we need everyone to help put on the Volleyball tournament on Saturday. Report at
7:30 am.
10. Outside date forms are available in the office if you plan on bringing an outside date to Homecoming. Please
return the form to the office by Tuesday, September 18th. Cost to get in to the dance is $5.00 per person.
11. Reminder to seniors, your $5.00 is due by Sept. 19. If not enough money has been turned in there will not
be a breakfast after Homecoming. Money can be turned into the office, Louis Johnson or Kendra Lorence.

12. Students interested in a career in the Automotive industry (auto body, mechanics, etc.): there is a
FREE Career Expo where you can tour Southeast Community College’s automotive technology
classrooms and learn about the variety of career opportunities in the automotive industry. This is
Tuesday, October 19 from 7-9pm at SCC in Lincoln. All juniors and seniors interested should see Mrs.
Wright for information on RSVPing ASAP!
13. Taking the ACT this fall? What help preparing for it? If so, sign up with Mrs. Ray for the John Baylor
Test Prep sessions. You must signup by September 26th to participate, the cost is only $40 and the first
session is Oct. 8th. See Mrs. Ray with any questions.
