Today’s Activities: JH Boys Basketball vs Logan View at 4:30 EHC Choral Clinic @ Oakland

1. Tap Band Schedule: Monday: Flute; Tuesday: Clarinet; Wednesday: Alto Sax/French Horn; Thursday: Low Woodwinds/Low Brass; Friday: Percussion

2. There will be a meeting for all boys basketball players following school tomorrow (Tuesday) in coach Baehr’s room right after school.

3. Athletic Banquet will be Thursday, November 8th at 6:30. Please sign up in the office how many will be attending by tomorrow.

  1. Sophomores-If you have not already registered for the Career Day at Midland University on January 23rd, please check your email to see if you are registered and otherwise, you have to be registered by October 31st because all sophomores attend so please do it now so you don’t forget. See Mrs. Gaughen if you have any questions.

  2. The University of Nebraska at Lincoln representative will be here on November 5th at 9:30. If you are a junior or senior and would like to meet with the rep, please talk to your teacher and see Mrs. Gaughen for a pass

  3. Find a good book at the NBE Book Fair. It continues this week on Monday, Nov 5 and Tuesday, Nov 6 from 3:30 - 7:00. There are many good titles available for middle and high school students. The newest Wimpy Kid title was released nationally last week and we have it at our book fair.

  4. NBC Blood Drive will be Wednesday, November 7 from 8:30-2:30 at the NBC old gym. If you are 16 or 17 years old, permission forms are needed and available in the front office. You may also sign up for a time in the front office.

  5. Students interested in careers in Ag, Food & Natural Resources, Skilled & Technical Sciences, Transportation & Logistics, or Business/Finance & Administration: NBC is hosting Luke Mueller from Cargill Inc. to speak about their scholarship and internship programs. Tuesday at 1pm in the Tiger Den. Interested? Get a pass from your teacher, Mrs. Gaughen, or Mrs. Wright.

  6. HS Wrestlers and Managers - warmup jacket orders and payment are due TODAY!!! Get Mrs. Ray your size and payment before 3:30 pm.

10. Please remove all Fall Sport locker decorations by Friday.

11. Any student attending Newsies on Friday night at Midland, we will be leaving from the high school at 6:35 p.m.

  1. Check-in for high school football players will be Monday, November 5th after school. Freshmen thru Juniors will meet in

    Coach Stieren’s room at 3:35pm. Seniors will begin checkout at 3:45pm by the equipment room.

  2. Speech Team meeting at 3:30 pm on Nov. 6 for anyone interested in joining this year’s team. Questions- see Mr. Lafleur.

  3. There will be a meeting for all girls 9-12 interested in playing basketball this year in Mr. Sterup’s Room Monday after school.

    Please contact Mr. Sterup today to let him know if you are planning to play.

  4. There will be no weight lifting tomorrow morning.

  5. This week is HOSA Health Professionals Week: Today - Explore Health Professions online, students receive information on

    their lockers. Tuesday - Guess the number of cotton balls int he jar. Wednesday - Wear a HOSA t-shirt or dress as your future Health Career Occupation. Thursday - Information about the different HOSA activities. Friday - TAP WAR - Brain Teasers - the TAP to complete the activity first gets a prize.

  6. HOSA members - sign up for the Saturday, November 17th informational workshop and for the Thursday, November 29th HOSA Experience at Northeast Community College. Cost is $10 for each activity.

  7. HOSA members - We are ordering scrubs - please stop by Mrs. Treat’s room to get yours ordered. Cost is $15.
