1.Anyone in grades 7th or 8th interested in playing JH Football, please attend a meeting on Wednesday after school in Coach Roy Wright’s room

2. Jr. High Volleyball sign-up sheet on the outside of Mrs. Treat’s room if you are interested in volleyball.

3. Jr. High Volleyball Parent and Player meeting on Thursday, August 17th at 3:45 in Mrs. Treat’s room. Practice begins on Friday, August 18th. All physical forms MUST be turned in to practice.

4. ALL FORMS NEED TO BE TURNED INTO THE OFFICE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

  1. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO TAKE PART IN THE ECLIPSE, THE FORM MUST BE SIGNED AND TURNED INTO THE OFFICE BY THIS FRIDAY.

  2. Students are asked to please be respectful of those studying in the library when you are walking through. Remember that middle school and high school are on different schedules and so other classes are using the library while you are walking through.

  3. Students who are interested in participating on the competitive FPS team should sign up inside of Mrs. Cody’s door THIS WEEK.

1. Any wrestler attending wrestling camp in Wisconsin needs to turn in their registration sheets to Coach Streff ASAP!

2. Attention Summer and Fall Softball players. We will be having an open batting cage session every Wednesday morning this summer from 9a.m.to 10a.m. following weights. Stop by if you want to take some extra batting practice or if you have any area of your softball game that you to improve. This opportunity is open to any girl, regardless of age that wants to get better.

3. If you are interested in receiving your CNA certification through Methodist College this summer, classes will meet in Fremont beginning May 18th. Pick up a form in the office.

  1. Driver’s Ed Class will be June 19-23 from 8:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. in the Elementary. Cost is $250 (outside of the district cost will be $330). More information on the website and flyers can be picked up in the office. Deadline for sign up is June 14th.

  2. There will be a brief throwers meeting after school today in the gym.

  3. Tanner Wietfeld, Kendra Lorence, Elsa Rasmussen, Chase Ruzicka, Aaron Owen need to tell Mrs. Gross-Rhode where you want your extra Plant Sales earnings to go or the money will stay in the Prom account.

provided by Fremont Area Medical Center. This will be held on Wednesday, June 7th at 6:00. The school provides transportation and the bus will depart at 5:15.

  1. 8th-11th Grade Students (Boys and Girls): Did you know a number of NCAA Division I, II and III schools offer FULL RIDE SCHOLARSHIPS to qualified school mascots? If you’re interested in being Turbo the Tiger next year, there’s a sign up sheet out side Coach Wright’s classroom (A17) and we’ll have an informational meeting by the end of the week. We’ll be bringing in a 3-time NCAA All-American mascot for a mascot camp this summer to prep for Football season! Anyone interested, be sure to get your name on the list!

11. Thanks to all the students and staff that helped with day one of the Plant Sale. Sophomores who are not in track...we need help from 5:30 - 6:30 to clean up gym. If Mr. Wright and Mrs. Gross-Rhode don’t have at least 6 people to help clean up, we will make a sizable contribution from your profits to a local charity. There is a lot more to a successful plant sale than just selling plants.

1 .If there is not a lunch card for you in the lunch line - that means you owe money!

4. Sophomores: We need more help with Plant Sales on Thursday. Please sign up. Reminder: If you earned money to be transferred to another account, you MUST work a shift at the plant sale or the money stays in the class account. If you have conflicts, find someone to work for you.

  1. Library books are due back into the library May 3 so we can begin to inventory books before seniors’ last day. All students can keep one book so you have something to read, but if you have multiple books checked out please get the extras turned in.

1. There will be an organizational meeting for the 2017 NBC Quiz Bowl team in
room A1,on Monday at 3:30 pm. Please try to attend one of the meetings if you would like to be on this years team.

2. Any students (other than Juniors) interested in participating in the John Baylor ACT Test Prep sessions, you need to sign up with Mrs. Ray before March 3rd. The cost is $40, but if you attend all sessions and are on time you will receive a $15 refund.

  1. State Bowling Finals will be tomorrow at 3:00 at Sun Valley Lanes in Lincoln (doors will open at 2:00). If the teams advance, they will bowl on Sunday (Girls at 10:45 and Boys at 12:30 with TV Finals)

  2. Wrestlers will be dismissed at 10:20 today. Go get ‘em, Tigers!!!

And finally . . . . .
Recently a Tekamah Herman student was severly injured in a car accident. Gracie Garcia suffered numerous broken bones and extensive internal injury. She has just recently been removed from her ventilator. Serveral schools in our conference have had activities to support Gracie. The NBC students have been asked to wear light blue to tonight’s game to show their support of Gracie and her family. Additionally, we will be taking a ‘free will donation’ DURING LUNCH TODAY -- 4th Period and will present our collection to Gracie’s family at tonight’s game.   2. Juniors-There have been some changes to Prom Work Night schedule. Work nights will now be on Febr 6, March 14, 27 and March 30 (if needed). Dates will also be posted in Mr. Wright and Mrs. Gross-Rhode’s rooms. Reminder: You must have all of your work dues and fund raising fees paid up before you can attend a work night.

There will be a limit to the number of theme proposals, so first come, first served. Reminder that juniors who did not help with fundraising may owe up to $30 if you want to attend Prom. See the amounts in Mr. Wright and Mrs. Gross-Rhode’s rooms. All Juniors must pay a $20 work deposit that will be returned after Prom if you have attended the required work times. (If you give us a check for Work deposit only, it will not be cashed until April 3. If you combine all money owed into one check, that check will be cashed immediately.)   1. Juniors: Prom proposal sheets are due to Mr. Wright or Mrs. Gross-Rhode by Friday. You must have paid all money owed before you can submit a theme proposal. There will be a limit to the number of theme proposals, so first come, first served. Reminder that juniors who did not help with fundraising may owe up to $30 if you want to attend Prom. See the amounts in Mr. Wright and Mrs. Gross-Rhode’s rooms. All Juniors must pay a $20 work deposit that will be returned after Prom if you have attended the required work times. (If you give us a check for Work deposit only, it will not be cashed until April 3. If you combine all money owed into one check, that check will be cashed immediately.) All of these fees must be paid by December 13 if you wish to vote for Prom theme and Prom servers.

  2. NBC Club - Please come to the office to sign up to work the wrestling meet on Saturday or times will be assigned to you!

1. All NBC Club members please sign up with Mr. Allgood over lunch hour to work at the NBC Wrestling Invite Saturday, December 10th.

  1. Reminder to actors- turn in your costume and garment bag to Mr. Lafleur by Friday at 3:30. Thanks.

  2. Tap Schedule: Friday: All Independent Study Students

  3. FCA is not just for athletes! If you’ve even watched a game you qualify. Huddle meets this Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in Mr. Nicola’s room. This week’s lesson is “service”. Come check it out. Takes less than an hour.

  4. Post Prom Breakfast on Sunday, December 4th from 8:30-12:00, free will donation, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus at St. Charles Pareish Center.

  5. Juniors who were not at Thursday’s Prom meeting can get Prom Handbook sheets from Mr. Wright or in holder outside of Mrs. Gross-Rhode’s office. It is your responsibility to read it so you understand all the rules about Prom decorating and attendance.
