Seniors - you may sign up in the office for your graduation partner!

1. Any senior who would like a copy of the senior video the cost is $8.00 and you can order with Mrs. Ray.

  1. Test your well night during Mayfest! Test the nitrate levels in your private well water. For information, please call the school.

  2. Prom Photos: Juniors, Seniors and Sophomore servers: Images by G (Gabrielle Schwanebeck) will take large group pictures of your class and small group pictures. The order envelopes are on your lockers. You must pay for your pictures when you place the order on Saturday. Bring the envelopes with you when you come on Saturday night.

  3. Iron Team VB: Thursday, April 26th. 3 boys and 3 girls grades 9-12. Sign up this week.

  4. Juniors: We will be doing light snacks for food during Prom setup and then finish by 6:30 or shortly after so you can eat more later. Bring a beverage if you wish but bottled water will be provided. No one leaves for food during setup.

  5. Sophomores and Juniors: The LINCOLN College Fair is THIS Sunday, April 22, from 1-3pm at Southeast Community College in Lincoln. The OMAHA College Fair is NEXT Sunday, April 29 at UNO from 1-3pm. These college fairs feature 90 colleges, and are a GREAT way to meet college admissions reps, discuss their programs of study, get information about scholarships to plan and prepare for, and get your name on their lists! Register for either OR both college fairs at www.nebraskacollegefairs.org and get a barcode the different college reps can scan when you go around to get information. Don’t miss out on these opportunities!

  6. Post Prom Breakfast after Post Prom at Leroy’s for all juniors, seniors, waiters and waitresses and their dates.

  7. 2018-2019 Cheerleaders and Dancers: Remember, your $100 deposit is due May 11. If you did the egging fundraiser and/or had credit from last year, find out from coaches what your total is due so you can get that paid! You will not get any uniform items or parade gear until your

    deposit is paid!

  8. Prom servers will practice skit tonight at 6:45 Bring costumes on Friday. Saturday time to be decided.

10. Summer Volleyball forms are due back Monday, April 23....please give the forms to Jill Hoops in the office. Thank you!
11. CHI camp candidates who want to work concession stand on May 5 need to return their forms to Mrs. Gross-Rhode by Friday.
12. Juniors: IF you have attended minimum number of meetings and IF you are in good standing in your 6th and 7th period classes, you will

be excused to begin to set up Prom after 5th period. Check with those teachers and make sure you have your work caught up. If you are in track or golf, plan on making arrangements for Friday practice. Everyone must stay until we are done.

  1. The following people still owe for Prom: Joe Bautista, Noah Brodd, Keegan McConnell - There are no IOU’s for dates. They will stay outside until they are paid for!

  2. The school will be open so the public can view Prom decorations on Saturday from 4:00 – 5:00. The skit will be performed at 4:30. The doors will open at 6:30 for Prom attendees. Dinner is served at 7:00. The doors will be locked at that time. No one will be allowed to enter late unless previous arrangements have been made. Students that don’t attend the dinner do not attend Prom. Doors will open back up to the public at 8:00 for the 8:15 Grand March. A voluntary donation to Blessings Food Pantry will be admission to Grand March.

  3. The 2018 NO LIMITS Summer Youth Activism Summit is scheduled for May 29-31 at the Leadership Center in Aurora, Nebraska. This FREE Summit is a GREAT opportunity for any student interested in Health Sciences or a career in Medicine/Nursing. There is NO COST to attend and applications are due May 2. Get an application link from Mrs. Wright in A17 and take advantage of this opportunity!

  4. Congratulations to all of the SkillsUSA members who competed last week at our State Leadership Conference. Justin Mensik and Ben

    Dostal placed 3rd in the Advanced Drone competition. Ryan Gaughen and Dalton Blaha placed 3rd in Mobile Robotics Technology. Ryan Gaughen place 2nd in State Only Job Interview. Dylan Ladehoff, Peter Emanuel and Louis Johnson were state champions in Welding Fabrication and will be heading to Louisville Ky in June to compete at Nationals. Thanks for everyone’s hard work to make this a very enjoyable and successful first year!!

1. Juniors and Seniors bringing a date from out of NBC need to have a Date Permission Form completed by your date and the school they attend. Reminder that dates must be under the age of 21. The form must be returned to NBC by Thursday, April 19. You may pick them up in the office and return them to the office.

2. Senior Banquet tickets on sale in the office The banquet is Wed. April 18th at 6:30 pm, sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are $8.00 and need to be purchased by today. Seniors do need a ticket but do not need to pay for it.

4. FFA Members not currently in ag class need to see Mr. Mottl today. It is important.

The form must be returned to NBC by Thursday, April 19. You may pick them up in the office and return them to the office.

The North Bend Fire Department is hosting a Fire Camp for 7th and 8th grade students to experience activity stations in EMS/First Aid, “Jaws of Life”, Hose/Water pulls, Fire Prevention, and safety, And to top it all off there will be a live room fire demonstration after dinner. This event is FREE and NBFD will provide 2 meals and a free T-shirt! Parents are welcome to join the students for dinner and fire demonstration. Fire Camp is Saturday, April 21 from 9-5:30pm and registrations are due by April 9. Get a registration form from Mrs. Wright in A17!

  4. There will be a meeting for all Girls grades 9-12 and all Boys 9-12 not currently playing varsity basketball Wednesday after school in the tiger den. Practice begins next Monday, Feb. 26th. Questions contact Coach Voss or Coach Montoya

  8. Reminder that Optimist Baseball and Softball forms are due no later than Friday, 2/23. Forms available in the school office.

Also throughout the week, there will be emblems hidden throughout the school. If you find one you are able to bring it to Mr. Mottls room to get a prize. You can only bring one emblem in per day.

Meet in Coach Wright’s room and we’ll work inside on some technique and runway work. This is for any vaulter who practiced in grades 7-11 last year. If you vaulted at any practice or meet, come on out and get a jump start on this season!

In honor of the Winter Olympics, dress as your favorite Olympian and deck yourself out in Red, White, and Blue to celebrate America’s dominance in the Gold Medal race. Don’t forget! 7:30 Friday night, Tiger Arena!

    2. Halftime of Friday night’s basketball game will include the NBC Dance Team’s Crowd Participation Dance. Be sure to stand up and join along to score some FREE NBC gear and snacks! And don’t forget to wear Red, White, and Blue!

All team members will meet in Mrs. Jelinek’s room at 7:50 a.m. tomorrow.

Today is day one of SkillsUSA week....Did you know that SkillsUSA is a national membership association serving high school, college and middle school students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations, including health occupations, and for further education.     3. Juniors: Prom theme proposals are due on Friday, Dec 15. You must have paid all fees before you can submit the proposal. This includes $20 work deposit AND other fees you may owe. Check with Mr. R Wright or the hanging file by Mrs. Gross-Rhode’s office to see if you owe more than the work deposit OR to pick up a Prom handbook with work nights and expectations if you were not at the Prom meeting on Dec 5.

    4. Post Prom will be having a sloppy joe meal for a fundraiser Tuesday evening at the game.

An informational meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15th at North Bend Central High School in room A26 (Mrs. Kluthe’s room). Space is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please see Mrs. Kluthe if you’d like a brochure with a description of the itinerary.

  1. Spirit wear theme for Saturday’s district volleyball final is fire/firemen. Wear orange, yellow, or red. Thanks to the North Bend Fire Dept., the first 75 students in the student section get a fireman’s hat! Go Lady Tigers, our girls are ON FIRE!

  3. Ready to Rome (and Paris)?? Students and community members in North Bend have the chance to travel to Rome and Paris in May/ June of 2019. This experience is facilitated by EF Educational Tours and locally organized by Suzy Morgan (Kluthe). This trip is not sponsored by the NBC School District but it is open to high school students and community members. Students younger than high school age are welcome if accompanied by a parent. An informational meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15th at North Bend Central High School in room A26 (Mrs. Kluthe’s room). Space is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please see Mrs. Kluthe if you’d like a brochure with a description of the itinerary.
