1. Wednesday trivia winners: It is obvious that many of you have read the NBC History
wall. Three people correctly answered that North Bend graduates who went on to be
famous are actress (Marg Helgenberger, 1977), engineer (Charles Purcell, 1900), and
wrestling coach of the 1936 Olympics (Billy Thom, 1918): Jolie Stranik, Tristan
Anderson and Kyler Hellbusch. Nineteen others correctly answered 2 of the 3 graduates. Your names were entered into a drawing. Jolie, Tristan and Kyler along with Kendra Mass, Ashley Humlicek, Akryn Bourek, Jacob Phelps, Emily Allgood, Tatem Anderson, and Kris Collins can pick up their prize from the office during TAP or between class.

1. Monday trivia winners: Students spent the last day before Christmas, 1969 helping move from the old high school building to the new one. The Class of 1970 was the first class to graduate from the new NBC building. Haley Johnson correctly guessed 1970.

We will end the week on Friday by encouraging students and staff to show school spirit by wearing an orange or black shirt, a tiger shirt, or the shirt of your favorite college or alma mater. Everyone who shows their spirit will be entered to win a gift card from Caseys.

  2. Congratulations to the North Bend Land Judgers from Tuesday in Leigh. Top Placers were Dalton Blaha, 3rd; Hannah Murray, 4th; Peyton Mitties, 9th; Domomic Tank, 18th; Shyann Rolenc, 19th and Amy Murray, 21st out of 436 total competitors. Overall North Bend Received 15 ribbons out of 19 competing. All 5 teams earned team ribbons! Top 2 teams tied for 3rd out of 125 teams. State qualifiers are: Hannah Murray, Shyann Rolenc, Russell Raymond and Erica Stphenson as a team and Dalton Blaha and Peyton Mitties individually. Congrats!

Turn in your permission slips by Tuesday, September 24th . The first deposit will be accepted in the middle school on October 3rd. As an extra bonus to participate now, Platte Valley Bank will match up to $5.00 that is deposited on October 3rd only.   5. Prom Photos: Juniors, Seniors and Sophomore servers: Images by G (Gabrielle Schwanebeck) will take large group pictures of your class and small group pictures. The order sheets will be handed out in English class. You must pay for your pictures when you place the order on Saturday.

10. The deadline for plant sales has been extended to April 18 to give our customers time to start to think about spring. Please get orders in as early as you can so we don’t run out of product. Also, the 6-pack plants will now be 4-pack plants as they were in past years.
