I am incredibly excited to join the North Bend Central community of educators. I didn’t start out my career as an educator, previously I worked as a pharmacy technician for the Lincoln VA, then as a lab assistant at Metro Community College, then for a genetics lab (Neogen) as a lab technician, then as a quality assurance technician for Sensory Effects in Lincoln. Many people in my family are educators including both of my parents. My mother teaches Pharmacy at Creighton University and my father is a science teacher for Lincoln Northeast High School. I went into education because education is not just a job, but an environment where I can encourage, give hope, provide possibilities for future career paths, and help guide informed citizens of the future. Students and people energize me, thus I get to be around so many personalities that motivate me to be the best for them. Additionally, kids have so many possibilities open to them because they haven’t fully chosen their paths yet, so I have the privilege to help them dream of possible futures and then reach for them.
